About the Game
Truco is the great bluffing card game of Argentina and Uruguay, played with a 40-card Spanish deck heads-up or in teams of two. Bold calls, envido counting and a well-told lie decide hands as often as the cards do, and the first side to 30 points takes the match.

Basic Rules
- 1Played with a 40-card Spanish deck (no 8s or 9s), one on one or in pairs.
- 2Each player is dealt 3 cards and every hand is decided over three tricks.
- 3The top cards are unique: 1 of swords, 1 of clubs, 7 of swords and 7 of coins.
- 4Envido is called before the first card and scores two cards of the same suit plus 20.
- 5Truco raises the value of the hand; rivals accept, fold or escalate to retruco.
- 6The first team to reach 30 points wins the match.
