About the Game

Briscola is Italy's best-loved card game, played with a 40-card Italian deck one on one or in partnerships of two. A trump card sits face up beneath the stock, nobody is obliged to follow suit, and the whole deck is worth exactly 120 points — the first side to 61 takes the match, and 60-60 is an honest draw.

Basic Rules

4. 4Aces are worth 11, threes 10, kings 4, knights 3 and jacks 2; every other card scores nothing.

6. 6There is no last-trick bonus: the deck holds 120 points and 61 wins, with 60-60 a draw.
